Petersburg set to benefit from $354M federal pharma contract

“Amid the months-long, and still continuing, COVID-19 crisis came a buoy of hope that could help the nation heal after months of quarantines and stay-at-home orders. That buoy could prove to do even more for the city of Petersburg in the years to come.

Phlow Corporation, a Richmond-based pharmaceutical company, was awarded $354 million in federal funding to manufacture America’s most essential medicines that are currently at risk of shortage. One of Phlow’s partners in the project is AMPAC Fine Chemicals, a California-based firm with a plant in the Petersburg Industrial Park off Wagner Road.”
